2021 WVWS Workshop – Watercolor & Wax

UPDATE: Workshop has been filled. Waitlist is available. Contact Judy Reed if you want to be put on the waitlist.

Robin Poteet of Salem, Va., will be the instructor for this year’s WVWS workshop.

Robin will lead the group through the process of using wax in combination with watercolor, to create small batik-style paintings on rice paper. The watercolors can then be mounted on small gallery-wrapped canvases, for a fun and delightful painting presentation. Acrylic painters are also able to use their preferred medium with this process.

For complete information, download the registration form (which has a detailed workshop description on the second page), and supply list from the button links at the bottom of this page.

Robin was formerly a graphic designer who transitioned to full-time painting in 2010. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and has been featured in books and magazines.

The workshop fee is $300 for WVWS members and $335 for nonmembers.

The workshop fee does not cover accommodations. Call Canaan Valley Resort State Park at 304-866-4121 ext. 7701 and mention you are with the WV Watercolor Society or complete an online reservation on their website.
