Bruce Bowersock

Bruce H. Bowersock is a native of Baltimore, MD, and studied art at the Maryland Institute, the Schuler School of Fine Art and Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL. He has studied with some of the most established watercolor artists in the United States, such as Tony Van Hasselt, Robert Wood, Don Andrews and Joe Mayer.

Bruce has worked in advertising and graphic design businesses for many years primarily as an illustrator and designer. His fine art and graphic works are in private collections throughout the United States of America.

Bruce moved to the Huntington, WV, area in 2000 and has been a member of the teaching staff at Marshall University, Huntington Museum of Art, Tamarack, and the Renaissance Gallery in Huntington. He teaches drawing , life drawing, watercolor and acrylics. Bruce teaches several regional workshops every year and individual students in his studio.

Bruce has attained juried status in the following fine art organizations: Baltimore Watercolor Society (Signature Member); West Virginia Watercolor Society; Tri State Arts Association (Huntington, Ohio, Kentucky); Upstairs Gallery, Ashland, KY; Fells Point Gallery, Baltimore, MD; and is a founding member of the Renaissance Gallery in Huntington, WV.
