Like any fun-loving, creative child, I happen to love mixing pigment, water and paper. As the years have passed, I think I've become a bit more sophisticated in my technique, but I try to channel the spirit of that fun-loving child as I paint.
Painting is magic, pure and simple.
Watercolor's unique properties -- the capriciousness of the medium, the glow of the colors -- enable me to explore meditative spaces within my watercolor paintings. I also find the play of sunlight and shade within landscapes and around architectural elements especially attractive.
