WVWS is interested in supporting the efforts of our state’s art organizations. We will post information about watermedia workshops sponsored by West Virginia-based art groups on our website. Morgantown Art Association workshops

The Morgantown Art Association holds many watermedia workshops throughout the year with nationally recognized artists.

WVWS All-Member Exhibition

The 2022 All-Member Exhibition will be held at The Arts Center in Elkins. Entry deadline is Nov. 10, and shipped work must arrive to Linda Elmer by Nov. 25. Drop-off at The Arts Center will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Opening Reception will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. The exhibition will close on January 18, 2023, and painting pick-up at The Arts Center will be from 10 to Noon on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2022. Entry forms will be posted at http://www.wvwatercolorsociety.org/ by July 11.

WVWS Grant Applications Available

The West Virginia Watercolor Society is mandated by charter to “Promote and Ensure the High Standards of the Art of Watercolor in the State of West Virginia.”

To this end, WVWS is offering a grant of up to $500 to a member for the purpose of fostering creativity within the state. To download the grant application, click HERE.
