AWS Signature Status for Laurie Goldstein-Warren

WVWS member Laurie Goldstein-Warren recently learned that her entry “The Funky Pirate” made it into the 154th annual International Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society.

But that acceptance notice came with a bonus.

Because Laurie also had pieces accepted in the 150th and 153rd AWS exhibitions, she was eligible to apply for Signature membership in AWS.

So, the news of this year’s show entry was also highlighted with public notice that she had earned AWS Signature membership.

WVWS wanted to highlight Laurie’s accomplishments, and Laurie has shared images of her three AWS exhibition pieces with us.

“The Funky Pirate ” has been accepted in the 154th AWS exhibition, to take place April 12 – 30, 2021, at the Salmagundi Club in New York City.
“My Brother’s Keeper ” was exhibited in the 153rd AWS exhibition in 2020.
“NYC – Cabulous ” was exhibited in the 150th AWS exhibition in 2017 and was awarded a High Winds Medal in that year’s show.

The Jury of Selection for the 2021 AWS exhibition included Antonio Masi, Pasqualino Fracassa, Karen Rosasco, Jean Pederson, and Iain Stewart.

The AWS Jury of Awards will meet in late February to make their determinations. We will stay tuned to see if Laurie wins an award. Awards will be announced after March 14, and will be posted on the AWS website.

Congratulations, Laurie!!
