Robin Poteet of Salem, Va., will be the instructor for this year’s annual WVWS workshop, to be held Aug. 5-8, 2021, at North Bend State Park.
Robin will lead the group through the process of using wax in combination with watercolor, to create small batik-style paintings on rice paper. The watercolors can then be mounted on small gallery-wrapped canvases, for a fun and delightful painting presentation. Acrylic painters are also able to use their preferred medium with this process.
For complete information, download the registration form (which has the complete workshop description on the second page), and supply list from the button links at the bottom of this page.
Robin was formerly a graphic designer who transitioned to full-time painting in 2010. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and has been featured in books and magazines.
The workshop fee is $300 for WVWS members and $335 for nonmembers. Accommodations are available at North Bend State Park (the workshop fee does not cover accommodations), and participants can arrange lodging at the park by calling Kristy Steed at 304-643-2931, ext. 304, for reservations.
