The Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton is hosting Aqueous 2023, the national juried exhibition hosted by the West Virginia Watercolor Society, from May 15 to June 29, 2023, in the Rotunda Gallery. Juror for the exhibition is Nancy Stark, AWS, NWS. Congratulations to our Best of Show winner, F. Dennis Clarke!

Exhibition Calendar

  • Online Entry Open: Feb. 1, 2023

  • Deadline to Enter: March 31, 2023

  • Notification: April 10, 2023

  • Shipped and Hand Delivered Deadline: May 11, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chuck Mathena Center. Shipped work will go to the center. Shipping details are on the exhibition prospectus. Help is available to help hand-deliver paintings from different areas of the state.

  • Exhibition Dates: May 15 – June 29, 2023

  • Opening Reception and Awards: May 19, 2023, from 2-4 p.m.

  • Pickup: June 30, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
